Alameda county election fundraiser.

Friends of Prop 215 - Reception for Councilmember Richard Valle
Candidate for Alameda County Supervisor - 2nd District (Hayward/Union City)
At the Bulldog Coffeeshop, 1739 Broadway, Oakland
May 31st, 2006 - 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Richard Valle is running for Supervisor of Alameda Co, District 2 (Hayward/Union City). He is currently a city councilman in Union City, where he has voted right on every medical cannabis issue to come before him (often casting the only good vote on the council). He is running against incumbent Gail Steele, who has been tepid in her support of medical cannabis issues. A victory for Valle would give reasonable cannabis policy a majority on the Board of Supervisors, instead of the current 2 to 3 minority.
This is a competitive race, which Richard Valle has a good chance to win. He has compiled an impressive list of endorsements (see http://www.valleforsupervisor.com) but must raise money to match his incumbent's name recognition. Please donate as generously as possible to "Valle for Supervisros" There are no contribution limits in the race.
